Upon arrival at Tontouta International Airport located 50 kilometres from the city of Noumea, you’ll be transferred by share coach to Nouvata Hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure relaxing at your hotel or exploring on your own. In the evening, you’ll sample the market fresh buffet served at the hotel restaurant L’Équilibre, in a beautiful tropical setting by the pool or facing the lagoon.

You’ll visit the City Museum located in Coconut Square which includes the many milestones in the development of this city, initially called Port- de-France and renamed Noumea in 1854, including the presence of the American army during WWII who was responsible for the construction of much of the city’s infrastructure.

You’ll be picked up by your guide in the morning head for your heritage tour of Noumea, steeped in colonial history. The tour includes a guided visit of Chateau Hagen, Maison Cellieres, lunch at one of the famous restaurants in the colonial suburbs and visits to various panoramic lookout points. Your guide will drop you back at your hotel at the end of the tour and you’ll have the evening to spend as you wish.

You’ll be picked up by your guide in the morning head for your heritage tour of Noumea, steeped in colonial history.

You will start your colonial journey with a stop at Maison Celieres, named after the family who emigrated from Reunion in 1891. Today the house has been fully renovated and is open to the public.

Continue your tour of the famous colonial district of Faubourg Blanchot finishing with lunch at one of the colourful centennial mansions.

Visit Chateau Hagen built in 1889. This 350m2 house surrounded by a 2-hectare garden is now home to numerous exhibitions and cultural events.

You will return to your hotel in the mid afternoon.

Today, you’ll spend a relaxing day on Escapade Island, located only 20 minutes by boat from Noumea and surrounded by a 200-hectare marine reserve. You’ll walk around the island, swim alongside the abundant fish life and numerous turtles and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Back in a suburb of Noumea in the evening, you’ll head to a wine, bread and cheese tasting complete with an explanation of the various regions that produce the wines and cheeses.

A dream resort in the middle of a 200-hectare marine reserve, Escapade Îlot Maître or Escapade Island Resort is a stunning, tranquil resort in the middle of a tropical dream.

You’ll have the choice of a number of restaurants as well as a swim-up bar. There’s also a range of activities on offer at the water sports centre including canoeing, jet-skiing and snorkelling. At the resort, you’ll also find a swimming pool, a spa offering massages and a chapel.
