Arrive in Juneau

Upon your arrival in Juneau a private transfer will meet you and deliver you to your hotel. Perfectly situated in downtown Juneau, you have easy access to restaurants, shops and parks. You may wish to explore the Gold Creek Flume Trail, an easy hike atop a historic wooden flume, and complete with a waterfall. Alternatively you could stay in the downtown core, strolling by the Governor’s mansion and perusing local shops. Accommodations are at the Jorgenson House in a Garden Suite.

This morning you’ll enjoy a private sightseeing tour of Alaska’s capital city, Juneau. Learn about Juneau’s role in Alaska’s historic Gold Rush, its native origins and relationship with Russia. In the afternoon you’ll enjoy a private and customized cooking class with Jorgenson House chefs. You’ll learn closely alongside chef instructors, and the meal options are varied according to preferences – ranging from 1.5 hour lunchtime menus to extensive multi-course dinners. Luxury Whale Watching Tour Aboard a Yacht

Today you’ll experience five-star outdoor adventures, from the comfort of a luxury vessel. Step aboard the Opus for whale watching in utter comfort. Look for Humpback and Orca whales, bald eagles, sea lions and more. Unlike standard whale watching tours, you’ll be able to imbibe and enjoy wine, beer, champagne or soft drinks. While you’re spotting wildlife with a drink in hand, your private chef will be preparing a gourmet lunch for you to enjoy. Today is packed with adventure as you take to the skies to explore Alaska’s magnificent glaciers. You’ll fly over temperate rainforest that surround Alaska’s capital city before heading to one of 36 glaciers that flow from the Juneau Icefield. Your expert pilot-guide will select a landing site, and you’ll strap on your crampons for a one-hour glacier trek. The terrain is relatively flat and the views are unforgettable. Originally built in 1915 at the height of the Klondike gold rush, Jorgenson About This Property House was passed down to Bill Jorgenson. As president of the Alaska historical society, Bill collected hundreds of cultural artifacts, photos and original artwork now displayed throughout the House. The Heimbigners completed a 15 year renovation that expanded the indoor and outdoor space, while taking great care to preserve the historical details of the home.
