Ultimate New Zealand itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Auckland
Haere Mai and welcome to Auckland. Enjoy today at leisure to explore the largest city in New Zealand.

Day 2 – Auckland to Rotorua
Leave Auckland and visit Okere Falls, located on the Kaituna River. Marvel at the infamous Mount Tarawera before arriving into Rotorua. (B,D)

Day 3 – Rotorua
Enjoy today at leisure (B).

Day 4 – Rotorua to Taupo
Venture off the beaten track to the shores of Lake Aniwhenua. After lunch, visit the lush Whirinaki Rainforest, visit the Huka Falls before arriving at the Hilton Taupo where you will enjoy a delicious lakeview dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 5 – Taupo to Napier
Journey to the stunning wine region of Hawke’s Bay. Enjoy a wine tasting and lunch at the iconic Church Road Winery beforing arriving at the coastal town of Napier. (B,L)

Day 6 – Napier to Wellington
Journey down to the sparkling capital city of Wellington where you will have the entire afternoon to explore the harbour at leisure or purchase a sight-seeing activity via your Tour Guide. (B)

Day 7 – Wellington to Nelson
Travel by Ferry across the Marlbor-ough Sounds as you arrive on the South Island. Enjoy this afternoon at leisure in Nelson. (B)

Day 8 – Abel Tasman National Park
Cruise the breathtaking Abel Tasman National Park, where golden beaches meet pristine waters. (B)

Day 9 – Nelson to Christchurch
Travel aboard the Coastal Pacific, one of New Zealand’s great train journeys. View the rugged coastline before arriving into Christchurch. (B,D)

Day 10 – Christchurch to Dunedin
Pass through the township of Oamaru and the mystical Moeraki Boulders before arriving into Dunedin. (B)

Day 11 – Dunedin to Te Anau
Visit the iconic Larnach Castle, Gore and Hokonui Moonshine Museum before arriving at Te Anau. (B,D)

Day 12 – Te Anau to Queenstown
Cruise the bucket-list worthy Doubtful Sound. It is the deepest of New Zea-land’s 14 fiords and its immense size leaves all who visit feeling humbled yet uplifted by its powerful physical presence. This afternoon arrive into Queenstown for a two night stay. (B)

Day 13 – Queenstown
Enjoy today at leisure (B).

Day 14 – Queenstown to Haast
On the journey to Haast, visit historic Arrowtown and picturesque Wanaka. Arrive into the West Coast where you will visit the village of Jackson Bay before arriving into Haast. (B,L)

Day 15 – Haast to Franz Josef
Continue travelling north along the West Coast Franz Josef, home to New Zealand’s most spectacular and acces-sible glaciers. (B,D)

Day 16 – Franz Josef to Christchurch
Visit the seaside town of Hokitika before boarding the TranzAlpine, where you will ascend the Southern Alps by train to Christchurch. Upon arrival into Christchurch, your 16 Day Ultimate New Zealand Tour comes to an end. (B)
