North & South itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Auckland

Haere Mai and welcome to Auckland. Make your own way to your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure to explore the largest city in New Zealand.

Day 2 – Auckland to Rotorua

Leave Auckland and visit Okere Falls, located on the Kaituna River which has cultural significance to the local iwi tribes. Marvel at the infamous Mount Tarawera before skirting around the edge of Lake Rotorua and arriving at the recently renovated Distinction Rotorua. (B,D)

Day 3 – Rotorua

Today you will have the entire day to explore at your own leisure or purchase a sightseeing experience via your Tour Guide. (B)

Day 4 – Rotorua to Taupo
Venture off the beaten track to the shores of Lake Aniwhenua, where you will experience Maori culture, tour sacred rock carvings and witness the preparation of a ground cooked hangi. After lunch, visit the lush Whirinaki Rainforest and sip hot Kawakawa tea. Visit the spectacular Huka Falls before arriving at the Hilton Taupo where you will enjoy a delicious lakeview dinner. Day 5 – Taupo to Napier
Travel along the ‘Tuscany of the Southern Pacific’, as you arrive into the stunning Hawke’s Bay region. Visit the iconic Church Road Winery where you will experience wine tasting and delicious lunch. This afternoon arrive at the coastal town of Napier. (B,L)

Day 6 – Napier to Wellington
Journey down to the sparkling capital city of Wellington, where business blends with a bohemian spirit. This af-ternoon is free at leisure or purchase a sightseeing experience via your Tour Guide. (B)

Day 7 – Wellington to Nelson
Travel by Ferry to the South Island, where the sunken valleys meet the sea that form the stunning Marlbor-ough Sounds. Enjoy this afternoon at leisure in Nelson (B).

Day 8 – Abel Tasman National Park
Cruise the breathtaking Abel Tasman National Park, a coastal paradise known for its golden sand beaches. See the iconic Split Apple Rock and sail the pristine coastline. (B)

Day 9 – Nelson to Christchurch
Travel aboard the Coastal Pacific, one of New Zealand’s great train journeys. View the rugged coastline and rolling farmland before arriving into Christ-church for your final evening. (B,D

Day 10 – Depart Christchurch
