Uluwatu is a Hindu sea temple, set on a rock that, in folklore, is said to be part of the water goddess of Bali, Dewi Danu’s petrified barque. While watching the sunset, you will witness the Kecak dance, also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant, it is performed by a circle of at least 150 performers wearing a checkered cloth around their waist, collectively chanting “cak” while performing.
