Day 01: Tarangire National Park / Burunge Concession

3 Nights (Full board) Permanent Luxury Tented Camp

You fly from Kilimanjaro airport right into the heart of Tarangire National Park. A gem of a park renowned for its baobab trees and elephants but it has so much more to show you. A dry season park that is particularly good between July and November, it has an exciting diversity of game and an exotic selection of very vocal birdlife.

Your first day will be a gentle drive along the Silale Swamp, the river and the plains, getting to your camp in time for sundowners.

You have two full days to explore the park as well as the private concession, where the camp is based. This allows you out of your vehicle and on your feet to see Africa from the ground up.

The camp is a small, luxury permanent tented camp that blends into the landscape and provides excellent care, great food and the perfect sundowner.

Day 04: Serengeti National Park

3 Nights (Full board) Luxury Lodge

After a short drive to the airstrip, you will fly on a scheduled flight in a Cessna Grand Caravan to the northern Serengeti. The flight will take you over the Great Rift Valley, the Ngorongoro Highlands and then onto the vast Serengeti. Your focus here will be the northern section of the park, close to the Kenya border, where the Wildebeest Migration will be spending a few months. If you are lucky and patient, then you may witness the drama, the energy and the bittersweet heartache of a crossing of the river.

The northern landscape is more than just the river: kopjes, riverine forest, endless streams, acacia woodland and salt licks provide a rich stomping ground for many different animals and birds. Being west of the Rift Valley, it stands in contrast to Tarangire not just in terms of its landscape but also in terms of the ecology and species mix.

The brilliant design of the lodge means that it blends into its landscape. It weaves itself around the kopjes and provide the best view in the whole Serengeti.

Day 07: Back Home

Possible Day room or overnight not included

Today you head back to civilisation and Kilimanjaro. The Schedule flights allow for late
afternoon or evening connection to an international flight. We can organise Day
Rooms or an overnight if you need.
